Germany - Magdeburg to Minden
The air raids over Magdeburg in 1945 struck St Peter's Hill hard and left St Peter's Church in ruins with only the tower and the vestibule still recognisable. It took 25 years to rebuild and the church wasn't re-consecrated until 1970.
